NZ Taylor Family - 2015 - a year, one second every day.
Every day Dad takes a 1 second video clip from the day and adds it to our family year collection. Its really just a random selection from each day, but a reminder of the joys and blessings we have received throughout the year.
Looking for a Geocache
We love doing things as a family and Geocaching is a perfect mini-adventure for the Kids and us. We have the Geocaching app on our phones and thats pretty much all you need to start this fun outdoor activity.

The decoratiing
We're not sure if it's a bit lop-sided or missing body in places, but it was decorated (in part) by the kids so it was a family effort of love. That's the story we are sticking to anyhow :)
Finding a Christmas tree
We went out to find a christmas tree this afternoon. A bit stressful, but we made it back alive!

Moo-ving the calves
We finally got the electric fence and solar charger up and running. With six separate 'paddocks' we are now hoping to avoid running out of grazing areas. Fingers crossed as summer approaches...

A morning in the farmlet
Evie and Lucas take us on a tour of the farm. It's not a very big farm, so it doesn't take long :)

Gold Coast Holiday
Our trip to the Gold Coast in Australia. The weather was great and the kids had a ball. Depressing to be back now in colder New Zealand, but we have some great memories!

A free night in an central city hotel was the result of a review we placed on a travel site. This is a video of our night in the big smoke.

Evie's little lamb is getting bigger
The calf club lamb is starting to get bigger and is full of personality. Evie named it "Angel" and as long as it wears a nappy, it gets to spend a little time inside playing. The old shed makes a great home for the rest of the time.

Lucas & dad collect pine cones in the forest
We have an acre of land which is primarily pine forest. It's a fantastic source of pinecones and kindling for our winter fires. It's also mini adventure for the kids and us with each expedition...

Sorting Sheep
We were gifted a pair of sheep some time ago. Last spring, one had a lamb, so we now had three. Time passed and we sort-of forgot about them. Oh sure, we made certain they had water and grass, but totally overlooked having them sheered and drenched! We asked around (neither of us really knowing how to go about doing this) if there was a travelling sheering who might drop by. Finally we found someone prepared to pop in and do it all for next to nothing, but we needed to round up the sheep. We were pleasantly surprised that it only took us a few minutes to get them into a makeshift pen.
A half hour later; drenched and nice smooth sheep :)

Heatwave
The weather has been mild all summer long and it shouldn't be a surprise to us in New Zealand, but as soon as we are all back to anticipating autumn we are hit with a heatwave. All our grass is dying and we aren't equipped enough with water sprinklers, nor the time to get this done. Hopefully we'll have a return to some milder weather as well as a little rain.
